Founder / Neurologist
Prof. Zhicheng Xiao
Professor Xiao received a doctorate in Molecular Neurobiology from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich in 1996. He is currently a professor at Monash University School of Medicine, Australia He was formerly the Director of GSK's New Drug Development Center and an internationally recognized neurobiologist and pharmacologist. He is mainly engaged in research in the fields of developmental regeneration of the nervous system, myelin formation, learning and memory, neural stem cells, and antibiotic resistance.

Gilbert George
​Gilbert has served in government departments in Australia and Japan, and in 1988, he founded his own enterprise development consulting company. He is the head of Gilbert George & Associates Pty Ltd, which provides strategic consulting to companies in Australia, Africa, Japan, the United States, and Europe. He has been involved in attracting over AUD 950 million in new investments in the Australian
resources, IT, food processing, and service industries.
Neurologist
Diji Kuriakose
Doctor of Biomedical Science graduated from Monash University. She understands the mechanism of early diagnosis and treatment of AD in Indian population, and develops diagnostic kits and recombinant products, studies telomeres that regulate the miRSome complex of miR-9 during neurogenesis. She participate in the development of mRNA vaccine in this project.

Mike Blommestein
​Mike currently serves as a non-executive director of Apiam Animal Health, a chain of veterinary director clinics of in Australia: non-executive director of Sheep Cooperative Research Centre (Sheep CRC) in Australia; and serves as an advisor to SurePure company and also holds the positions of Chairman and Director at VitaVe. Mike has previously served as Vice President and General Manager for Pfizer and Zoetis in Australia and New Zealand, with 35 years of experience in the animal health industry.

Prof Colin Pouton
Professor Colin is Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology (Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences) in the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS). Research interests: Use of stem cells, and cells derived by differentiation of stem cells, in drug discovery. Stem cell derived models of neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinsosn's and Alzheimer's diseases).​

Prof Grant Morahan
Professor Grant Morahan BSc(Hons), PhD is a graduate of La Trobe and Melbourne Universities. Taking up a position at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, he led a research team working on the genetics of complex diseases and researching immunological tolerance. Professor Morahan was the State Councillor of the Australasian Society for Immunology and founding President of the Immunology Group of Victoria.

Professor Gang Peng holds a Bachelor's degree from Peking University and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Sydney, Australia. He is familiar with the markets, regulations, and cultures of the pharmaceutical industries in both Australia and China, and has extensive experience in integrating traditional Chinese medicine with modern medicine.

Stephen Chelberg is an accomplished leader and advisor with a distinguished career in fostering innovation and cross-border collaboration. As the Global Head for Life Sciences at a leading international law firm, he oversees strategic initiatives and advancements within the life sciences sector. As an outside director of Heka Bio KK, a pioneering Japanese start-up, he plays a vital role in advancing breakthrough MedTech and therapeutic solutions in Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, and Ophthalmology. Stephen’s career includes establishing and leading two successful companies in Japan as president: Watkins-Johnson K.K., a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, and Manugistics Japan K.K., a supply chain software company. He also serves on the governing body of the U.S.-Japan Healthcare Connection, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting healthcare innovation through collaborations among industry, academia, and government. Additionally, as an angel investor and mentor, Stephen has supported numerous life science start-ups, including those nurtured through the Cambridge Innovation Center.

Dr. Birrell, a finance expert, offers strategic advice on IRP Health's financial development and intellectual property strategy. With expertise in finance, he holds a Ph.D. from University of London King’s College. He was the Founding Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston Australia Asset Management and served as Regional Director Asia Pacific at INVESCO, a global fund management company. Additionally, he was Venture Executive at Innovation Capital, a venture capital firm and Professorial Fellow at Monash University.
